Notebook: Darren Clarke's win makes Nick Faldo's Ryder Cup decisions easier
Darren Clarke made Nick Faldo's job a little easier. With an Aug. 31 deadline looming, European captain Faldo has been facing questions about how he could possibly leave Ryder Cup stalwarts Clarke and Colin Montgomerie off the team, especially since Monty's absence would make this the first Cup without a Scot since 1937.

The LPGA's language rule is not fair, but life's not fair
If you're one of the 121 international players from 26 countries -- and one of the 45 South Koreans in particular -- on the LPGA you might be upset by the tour's mandate that you learn to speak passable English or face a possible suspension. You might call it a civil rights violation. You could say, "I'm going back to Asia or Europe, where I can shout gangsta raps in my native tongue if I want to."

Legal questions surround LPGA's new rule requiring players to speak English
