Gustav's Jamaica path
Tropical Storm Gustav is expected to strengthen into a hurricane later today, according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm now has top sustained winds near 70 mph, just shy of hurricane status. The storm killed at least 22 people in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Obama to accept nod on symbolic day
Sen. Barack Obama will accept the Democratic presidential nomination tonight in front of 75,000 people on the 45th anniversary of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech. Obama will become the first African-American to lead a major party's ticket for president of the United States.
